Fun working environment with a pinch of stress
The good thingsYou get a free gym membership, health benefits and there are some wonderful individuals who will shape your future with goal setting.
The challengesThere are people who will support and mentor you, there will also be some who will deter your progression. There is a certain level of politics going on.

The good thingsThe one reason of me coming to work is because of the few people that works with me before i join in this company.
The challengesWorking in team which supposed to be supporting one another. However, none was shown. In fact, you have to face the all issue yourself. Even though the word 'Assist' is always being used, you are actually doing and clearing all the mistakes and issues done by the clubs on your own.

The good thingsThe only thing great was having great colleagues and gym members.
The challengesThe issues which the consultants are suppose to handle are being thrown at the front of house all the time.

The good thingsGreat Training & Support from your managers! Full fledge L & D team, covering sales, service, communications, leadership and fitness knowledge. FF is definitely leading in this area compared to all their competitors in the field. I would definitely recommend to any level of experience - entry, mid, exec, managers, as you will have a good time learning and working with FF! I better type lesser before this sounds like a HR promotion (it's not), i am a manager in FF, started from entry level till today whom i am and i owe it to FF (and myself). All the best!
The challengesAs with all big companies, bound to have some red tapes.

    good experience for a start
The good thingsgreat teams n colleagues. good support from immediate superiors within the club. good learning experience in terms of customer interaction and multi tasking. easy to adapt and grasp the basic routine. clear progression options. has a good learning n development team - great development options and ample trainings given to equip staffs n better them. fun environment. overall great experience despite some challenges.
The challengesbesided getting to gym for free and use its facilities and occasionally some special discounts here and there, nothing much in terms of staff benefits / welfare. in terms of staff appreciation and acknowledgement, only voted staffs get highly acknowledged and other staffs not so much appreciation. front desk staffs are frequently less appreciated by senior staffs form the head office probably because we do not contribute to the company financially directly like Personal trainers / membership consultants do. no work life balance. 6 days work shift all the way standing. most of the time experiencing shortage of manpower thus those on shift always have to work extra hard. people frequently only notice us when we are not around and complain on our bad conduct should it happen as they depend on us to get most of the things in club running and functioning. low salary for a hectic job.

    Awesome and Great!
The good thingsThis company is a great place to start off even if you're not from this industry or you don't study about Fitness. I love working in this company as most of my objectives are met while working in this company. People and environment are awesome, company is great, culture is awesome! Having fun in work is one thing but having fun with the peoples are also another thing to be given an applause for it!!!
The challengesSo far there isn't much challenges for me! There are still many things for me to learn about this company and the new upcoming changes. But, don't worry i'm willing to learn and update myself more on the new trend. There are some challenges that i have went thru but there is also some that are still my challenges that I have to overcome it!

    A Great Big Family!
The good thingsFitness First has a good culture in people management, conducive environment for individual learning, a clear structure in career progression and definitely is a timely paymaster.
The challengesDecision making can be very complex and time consuming since it is a big organization and often feedbacks from various sources could be overlooked resulting in a top down approach.

    Awesome Working Environment
The good thingsThe best working environment ever! Colleagues are very nice to each other. Friendly bosses, managers, IPM, staffs, trainers and members. Really had a great time working here. The atmosphere is good. It feels like home working there.I really recommend working here.
The challengesChallenges would be assisting foreign members that is very aggressive and waking up as early as 4AM to open the club at 6AM. Other than that, there's nothing else I could think of.
