The good thingsAnnual year-long inter-Group sports event; Club HDB (welfare, by staff, for staff) involvement. Weekly 1-hour time-off for exercise. Medical time-off for ad-hoc doc visits/med appts. Annual 72-hrs family care time-off. Annual 1-day birthday time-off.
The challengesIf in niche work scope, difficult to request for lateral transfer to other depts/Groups due to 1-to-1 staff exchange unable to find anyone suitable/fit/willing to fill your existing post.

The good thingsGood & supportive colleagues (Support Staff), Good benefits, self-schedule management.
The challengesExtremely stressful working environment, too many red tapes, unsupportive management, too much favoritism, too much monitoring of supportive staff via a system that does not reflect the true issue.

    Poor working environment
The good thingsThe benefits were good and the colleagues below superviors level were helpful.

    Great organisation
The good thingsThe people especially at branch are extremely tight knit and are willing to assist one another. Good experience in meeting and handling customers of diverse background and requirements. Have the opportunity to see other citizens in both great and desperate circumstances which allows you to learn and grow when you are able to render assistance.
The challengesBeing a Government organisation, people expect you to know about many things not related to your job scope or organisation as it is deemed to be One Government. if you look at it from a positive outlook, it gives you the opportunity to learn about other organisations and also where to seek for assistance while you are helping your customers even if the matter on hand does not directly relate to your job or organisation.
