There are pros and cons in every work environment.
The good thingsProfessional development opportunities. Supportive supervisor and Principal. Great benefits. Working here is quite delightful generally; everyone is polite to each other and greets each other.
The challengesAs seen in other workplace, top-down directions at times lacks strategic foresight and underestimates the complexities of operational work. So many different platforms and systems that staff get confused.

Prospective candidates may wish to consider carefully before joining.
The good thingsNice colleagues and cheap school food
The challengesWhile the school has a strong reputation, my experience did not fully reflect this. The working environment can be challenging, with noticeable gaps between what leadership communicates and what is practiced. Although a ‘open door policy’ is encouraged, feedback does not always appear to be consistently acknowledged. Career progression is unclear, and decisions around promotions may not always seem fully transparent. Management styles vary, but some departments experience a more top-down, closely managed approach, which may limit autonomy. There are also inconsistencies in workplace practices, such as working hours and expectations across teams. Overall culture may be difficult for new employees, particularly where there is resistance to change. In addition, employees may feel hesitant to raise concerns openly, which can affect communication and morale. Interactions with HR can sometimes be less supportive than expected, with processes appearing fragmented rather than streamlined.

The good thingsNice and helpful colleagues. Work-life balance. Good long service award bonus. Nice and cheap canteen food at HCI.
The challengesUnfriendly HR staff. Career progression is not clear. Pay is at the low side. Only get first salary increment after more than 2years.

Good Starting job but don't stay too long
The good thingsGood Co-workers, pretty slack work, a good place to gain experience if you're new.
The challengesThe pay is low even you have the experience. The hr is really bad, they don't really care about you. So think twice.

Great students and work life balance
The good thingsStudents are great to work with and generally the admin and scheduling is very family friendly. Certain middle management are forward looking and open to new ideas.
The challengesSometimes it’s a bit hard to enact change because of the size of the school and baggage of needing to maintain grades.

    Excellent students strong programmes
The good thingsOverwhelmingly willing and able students who are a delight and easy to teach. Supportive and helpful colleagues who care about the students' best interests and want them all to succeed as well as they are possibly able to. Campus is large and diverse providing very good facilities and lots of space both for staff and students use.
The challengesOrganization of teaching schedules needed significant improvement within my experience. Teachers are often expected to do a lot in a very short time and new tasks and projects can be added at short notice. Teachers need to quickly get used to saying no as relatively little help or guidance is given as to priorities and key performance indicators until staff review periods.

    Great place to work
The good thingsThe workplace encouraged innovation, and the work culture encouraged sharing. The facilities were well maintained, and of state-of-the-art for a high school.
The challengesThe staff meetings took a very long time to conclude, as the staff strength was very large, and a lot of things had to be covered.
