    No proper workflow procedures
The good thingsGood worklife balance and colleagues are willingly to guide you along.
The challengesNo proper workflow procedures and fast pace working environment. Manager expect you to be at a experience level even when you have no experience in that field. Information given are very vague most of the time and this will poses a challenge even to those who are experienced in the field let alone the newcomers with no prior experience. No proper workflow procedures makes it even harder for newcomer to pick up their work as you are expected to gather information by yourself. Directions from manager is not clearly stated and even though you take initiatives to ask, it is not enough to meet the expectations.

    Toxic working environment
The good thingsOnly day shift. Don't have to work after office hours.
The challengesWorked as a temp Staff. Had to rotate among the clinics. At certain clinic, had to station outside the entrance. Sun ray , sunlight shine onto makeshift desk. Really bad for the eyes. Apart from that, its'fulltime staff are quite challenging.

    Research-focused work
The good thingsThe working environment is quite fast-paced and there are is a degree of independent work needed, while also requiring learners to take the initiative to upgrade their skills in their own time to facilitate on-the-job task completion. In all, while the learning curve is steep, learners will learn quite a lot with the effort taken.
The challengesIt can be quite challenging to scale the steep learning curve if required to work independently in the initial stages.

The challengeshandling difficult clients. mentally challenging for those working in acute wards. physically exhausting in long stay wards. Work can be very overwhelming due to clients, superiors and public.

Routine work tasks are manageable, lacks platform to excel.
The good thingsWorking environment, work life balance, generally low level office politics, Alternative lunch venues selection nearby, no morning crowd to work, plenty of parking free parking,
The challengesDirections from management are not consistent and information are not disseminated in a timely manner. There is also no focus on growth areas and innovation. Information given are vague at best and will challenge even the most resourceful candidate on any given task. Staff canteen is barely bearable.

    Eye-opening & Gratifying
The good thingsHaving a great boss who is understanding and very helpful makes you want to come to work to perform better & concentrate well in helping those in need. Sharing the same goals with like-minded colleagues makes the work less stressful and enjoyable at the same time. :)
The challengesLocation is a little inconvenient for me. But if you like travelling and you want to help others, it should not pull you down. I have to take 2 to 3 buses from Tampines and it is tiring but you can get used to it. Up to you whether you want to or not! ;)
