An awesome place for R&D engineers and specialistsThe good thingsA working environment that nurtures and brings out the best for those ambitious and motivated to take challenges. The working environment allows us to stretch ourselves to attain world-class new product development exposure and skills. Colleagues are very friendly and helpful and ideas are shared across the R&D room… there are no boundaries. Decently flexible working hours to balance my work-life. The greatest satisfaction is to see our developed and manufactured products are sold globally… and also the company continues to expand with more patented innovative new products in the pipeline and are being developed locally from scratch. This is rare to find in this part of the world. Often we heard from experienced colleagues who worked elsewhere before joining us, they merely make engineering improvements on products transferred from Europe, Japan, or the US.
The challengesWe use teleconference with our USA sales team weekly and Japanese customers very often. We do face some language barriers especially Japanese. This makes the exchange of information and data challenging at times. It was harder first to communicate with our US colleagues and understanding US customers’ expectations to resolve issues fast. While European customers are more tolerant of longer lead time. By observing our seniors handling them side by side, gradually we could blend in, and still, on occasions, we struggled a bit.
