    Great company to work for
The good thingsThe culture, the people, the benefits. JTI has a very good corporate culture - people push each other to be the best they can be, and there is healthy competition. Personal development is emphasized upon and careers paths are mapped out in advance as early as possible.
The challengesTobacco industry landscape is heavily regulated depending from region to region, and there is still a certain stigma behind working in the tobacco industry.

The job boost up the knowledge on the business development progress.
The good thingsIdeas can be spoken up and get appreciated by the management level people in the company. There is no power difference between the employees and the employer.
The challengesIt is challenging and need to compete with other people for getting a position.

    Regrets
The good thingsJTI has the best HR. An employee can easily reach out to them without inhibitions nor prejudice. When i started with JTI, one can feel the work life balance any person desires for. Its very objective and everyone seems positive in realizing goals. Compensation wise, not so bad. Trainings and workshops? More than fair. It may not be the market leader, but its a company that's well respected.
The challengesNever hire from a competitor with culture that you abhors much. There are talents within that deserve a break. Transparency and feedback mechanism are key. JTI should always go back to the fact that its a Japan owned company that values professionalism and integrity. Its sad to see people from upper management breaking the law instead of setting an example.
