Great company culture and positive working environment
The good thingsColleagues are friendly and they are willing to give advice or help to those in need. Company is consistently improving themselves by getting feedback from their staff - for example, updating their benefits when possible Other than the colleagues, the bosses here care for our well-being
The challengesThe techniques and teaching methods may need some time to get used to. Conversations with admin side may become fragmented as they all share one admin account.

    A collaborative and friendly environment
The good things- Training for new teachers is solid. There's a clear scope provided and they set all teachers up for success. - Mentors provide practical advice and are always there to lend you a helping hand and a listening ear. - Curriculum is rigorous and they're always seeking new ways to help their students achieve success. - Management is receptive to feedback and very open to new ideas. They do not impose but find a middle ground to ensure that their staff and customers' needs are met.

    Nurturing workplace that encourages growth
The good thingsColleagues are close knit and willingly offer help and advice where work matters are concerned. You can easily reach out to anyone if you have a query, need an opinion or share your views on lesson delivery. The learning curve for new teachers may be a little steep at the start but rest assured, help is always available to help you settle in fast. Management offers a safe environment where an employee's views or opinions can be shared and new ideas to maximise efficiency are encouraged. Work-life balance is attainable as long as one is organised and efficient.
The challengesGetting used to new teaching methodology and systems takes a while to adapt.

The good thingsWhile I'm still relatively new, I have observed the family-like environment at Lil' but Mighty which make it enjoyable to collaborate with the team. If you are looking to grow professionally, this is a great place to do so as well since the leaders are keen to give you opportunities to grow with you.
The challenges(Working on both weekends but it's not considered a challenge since it is a common industry standard)

A supportive and nurturing place for any employee
The good thingsLBM provides many opportunities for growth and learning. The colleagues work well together and genuinely care for one another’s well-being.
The challengesThere are still areas where the company can improve on eg having more systems procedures in place to ensure consistency.

It feels like my second home
The good thingsLBM has been so warm and welcoming. It feels like my second home, with diplomatic bosses who treat every employee with care and respect. Staff are encouraged to work independently as there is mutual trust. Employees are given proper breaks as managements respect our off days. Colleagues are friendly and are always ready to lend a helping hand. The environment is also kept clean, which is greatly appreciated.
The challengesNot many cons I can think of. The only thing is the chrome book given was a little slow. Also, the Whatsapp account is shared between the admin team so sometimes the communication can get a little blurry as a few of us handling the account, so some information can get lost along the way. However, the admin team has each other's back and are always ready to help.

    Stellar training amidst Covid-19 uncertainty
The good thingsClear and consistent communication between founders, trainer and I. Training schedules were tailored for my learning amidst the pandemic and arrangements were made for me to carry out my orientation from home due to Phase 1 circuit breaker. What is unique about this training programme is that it really takes the bandwidth of the trainee in mind, giving neither too little nor too much to manage every session. Although I’m pretty new to the company, the respect LBM has for work-life balance is something that is difficult to find elsewhere. This makes me want to be even more accountable for my time and productivity, to ensure that I deliver my KPIs effectively with the responsibility and autonomy that has been entrusted to me.
The challengesHave not encountered any challenges so far. Although there are sometimes arrangements made on short notice, this is not something that is unexpected given current circumstances, as well as in other fast-growing companies.

A Nurturing and United Team that is Committed to Develop the Strengths of Individuals
The good thingsThe management is committed to provide help and support to resolve any issues that have occurred at work. Fair judgement is made hear both sides of the story whenever a problem arises and the team is focused on solving problems. Once the problem is resolved, everyone moves on and improves. There is no finger-point and nobody tries to shirk responsibility.
The challengesNA because the management welcomes honest sharing and is willing to iron out differences.

The challengesWorkload can be challenging to juggle during peak periods, but that's the same with any other place.

    A family-like work environment!
The good thingsThe management ensures that all employees' voices are being heard by having regular informal review sessions. Every member is valued for his/ her contribution at the company. There is excellent admin support provided to ensure that teachers are able to carry out the classes smoothly. Another key factor is the willingness of team members to pitch in and help one another. At LBM, we are a team!
The challengesHaving to carry our personal laptop to work is quite a challenge as it is bulky and heavy.

Working sometimes doesn't feel like work at all :)
The good thingsFlexibility in the work schedule is outstanding. To be able to work from home (or from a coffee shop, if you wish) is an absolute dream. Work hours are realistic and manageable. Bosses don’t require you to do overtime or answer work-related matters on your rest days (unlike so many companies these days have a habit of doing). This place has a very good grip on work-life balance in a way that is truly life-changing. It makes me want to work when I know work ends at a certain time and stops completely on rest days. My mind and body get to recharge. People here are also pleasant and professional. With a decade of management experience, it is refreshing to manage level-headed and mature individuals (requiring very little babysitting), allowing me to focus on the more crucial areas of management. Upper management operates in a caring and nurturing manner that is forgiving when you make mistakes, at the same time encouraging when it comes to growing your skillset. They are also very driven and ambitious which makes you feel like you’re a part of something that’s going to lead the industry one day.
The challengesIt is somewhat still a small and growing company so there are a few kinks that need ironing (new systems are being implemented, structures/workflows are constantly revisited, etc). However, having worked at an MNC before this where such ironing of kinks still came on a daily basis, working here is still better in comparison. There isn’t a permanent workstation for administrative and/or management staff but as mentioned, this doesn’t bother me because I prefer working out of the office anyway. You could say challenges here are similar to any other workplace but because managers are sensible and reasonable, challenges are better handled.

Positive Working Environment and Great Company Culture
The good thingsThe company has a positive working environment and great culture. Everyone in the company is incredibly welcoming with open arms and transition into the company has been smooth for many of the new staff. The management is supportive and open to suggestions, feedback and new ideas from staff. The bosses are friendly, approachable and great mentors to all of us. There are also ample growth opportunities and I am encouraged to do my best everyday. The team of dynamic, passionate teachers and admin team worked well together to bring about the best in the teaching and learning materials to all the students. Kudos to everyone at Lil' But Mighty!
The challengesAs the company grows and staff strength increases, maybe the management can look into enhancing the pantry area for staff in the future and consider the use of tools for annotation on the screen (e.g. smart boards or visualisers) to further enhance teaching and learning.

A workplace that values passion and culture
The good thingsLil' but Mighty is an organisation that appreciates a collaborative, progressive and nurturing work culture. The company's founders value each and every of their team members, often treating us as equals rather than subordinates. As such, the workplace environment is positive, exciting and full of fun. There are ample growth opportunities for everyone too. The team is also fortified with highly driven and dedicated teachers, who fervently seek ways to craft curriculum materials that are beneficial to the students. We are proud of what we produce!
The challengesGiven that the team is still relatively small, teachers may face a lack of logistic and administrative support at times. However, the upper management is open to feedback and suggestions for improvement.

A nurturing working environment that includes great fun!
The good thingsColleagues here are helpful and kind, and the work environment is one that promotes a healthy growth in you. There are opportunities for almost everyone and the bosses are encouraging and understanding even in times of difficulty. Looking forward to what's next for us at Lil' But Mighty!
The challengesIt can be challenging to try and adapt to the curriculum since the worksheets are pretty unique. However, that is nothing to worry about when there are helpful colleagues and pillars of support around at the centre! (:

    Fun environment to work in
The good thingsWe're allowed to work from home and given realistic deadlines to craft worksheets and to complete projects. Moreover, the company's founders and upper management provide a nurturing and empathetic environment like other reviewers have mentioned as well The curriculum is also strong and highly beneficial to the students. Work ethic among colleagues is strong and everyone strives to help one another.
The challengesSince it's a small team, there is little manpower to help with students who do make up classes and teachers have to teach two lessons in a two hour session so that the student does not miss out on it. I think more could be done to ensure that employees can take leave and rest easy, such as having a wider pool of teachers to take over when the teacher who usually takes the class needs time off. Since I work for the second branch, it would be useful to have a better photocopier to print worksheets in case the teachers run out of the existing ones.

A company driven by passionate and like-minded individuals
The good thingsThere is a very nurturing and supportive environment here at Lil' but Mighty. Staying true to its name, we are a small team (for now) but we comprise of highly passionate individuals who work well together! There is very much a familial relationship that binds the team hence we face challenges and celebrate successes together. Every employee here is valued for his or her strengths and we are given opportunities for growth as well (e.g. making online videos, writing blogposts, starting online courses etc). A lot of thought goes into the development of the teaching materials and the teachers are proud of what we have. Also, decisions do not come just from the management but everyone's opinion is always taken into consideration. It has thus far been a very fulfilling journey with the company.
The challengesOne area that can be worked on would pertain to the arrangement of students who have missed lessons and would need make up. At times the teachers may have to juggle catching up last week's work while completing the current week's work. Another area could be to look into a software that will enable teachers to annotate in real-time on the PDF documents instead of toggling between teacher's and student's copies.

Great working culture and dynamic team
The good thingsThe senior management team here embodies the spirit of empathy that the centre advocates. As a new teacher here, the management team ensured that there was a smooth transition into a full teaching workload. Not only that, I also had the opportunity to take part in a PMET training course that provided a structure to track my growth in the company. Teaching is also not just restricted to the classroom as there are opportunities to create online courses, blog, and film teaching videos. The small class size for classes here also allows for a lighter marking load.
The challengesLogistics for branch centres may not be as smooth as that at the main centre. Worksheets may only be available at the branch fifteen minutes before class starts. This may be quite a rush for teachers who wish to have more prep time for classes.

    Excellent Place to Work
The good thingsAn inclusive, friendly and dynamic environment where the structure is definitely not one that is top-down. Senior teachers are open to new ideas and as an employee, you feel valued that they take the time to listen and try their best to support you in any way they can. This eventually leads to a motivated group of employees striving towards the same goal. Another thing which I'm extremely thankful about is the employer's commitment to helping its staff grow while maintaining a positive working environment. They take the time to provide feedback and an open invitation to discuss whatever challenges you may face with them.
The challengesWhile we have a robust team of teachers, the administrative side is smaller so there's a lot to handle and occasionally there may be some issues that arise from time to time (with regards to attendance and make up classes). The good thing is that with a small team, these kinks can be ironed out fairly quickly but with continual growth, a better system put in place would definitely help.

It's been really great working here!
The good thingsLil' But Mighty provides a supportive and collaborative work environment. My employers listen with an empathetic ear and no problem is too trivial to discuss with them. There are many opportunities for growth here, something which surprises me as someone who has been in the education service for more than 15 years. My colleagues are fun, motivated and hard-working individuals and it has been such a joy working with them.
The challengesSince the company is relatively young, there are still areas to be improved upon. One such area is to work out how to handle make-up lessons so that the pupil doing make-up will benefit from it and it does not disrupt the normal class, especially when the pupil is doing make-up for a different lesson cycle. Another area would be to have a better tracking system of pupils coming for make-up lessons so as to avoid having more than 8 in a class.
