Working sometimes doesn't feel like work at all :)The good thingsFlexibility in the work schedule is outstanding. To be able to work from home (or from a coffee shop, if you wish) is an absolute dream. Work hours are realistic and manageable. Bosses don’t require you to do overtime or answer work-related matters on your rest days (unlike so many companies these days have a habit of doing). This place has a very good grip on work-life balance in a way that is truly life-changing. It makes me want to work when I know work ends at a certain time and stops completely on rest days. My mind and body get to recharge. People here are also pleasant and professional. With a decade of management experience, it is refreshing to manage level-headed and mature individuals (requiring very little babysitting), allowing me to focus on the more crucial areas of management. Upper management operates in a caring and nurturing manner that is forgiving when you make mistakes, at the same time encouraging when it comes to growing your skillset. They are also very driven and ambitious which makes you feel like you’re a part of something that’s going to lead the industry one day.
The challengesIt is somewhat still a small and growing company so there are a few kinks that need ironing (new systems are being implemented, structures/workflows are constantly revisited, etc). However, having worked at an MNC before this where such ironing of kinks still came on a daily basis, working here is still better in comparison. There isn’t a permanent workstation for administrative and/or management staff but as mentioned, this doesn’t bother me because I prefer working out of the office anyway. You could say challenges here are similar to any other workplace but because managers are sensible and reasonable, challenges are better handled.
