Poor Management and terrible work life balance
The good thingsDid learn a lot in the beginning
The challengesNo such thing as work life balance. Bosses expect your 1st love and last love to be the company. They don't expect you to have a life after working hours. Bosses never trust their empolyees. They micro manage like literally everything. All they care is their pockets to be filled with $$$. No bonuses given too. Bosses are very calculative, however, they expect they staff not to be calculative. Staff movement there is also very high.

    Best office job ever.
The good thingsI may be just an intern, but this is my 3rd and best office-job. My highest-paid internship. The staffs are friendly, very willing to help. All you gotta do is ask. Almost judgment-free. Resources are plenty. Hardly any politics smelled across 12 weeks. Trust me, the food choices for lunch is considered plentiful. Management are pretty willing to listen and be open to suggestions you have.
The challengesEven as an intern, within one week, I could tell that if you were a working adult looking for career progression, this is almost definitely not the right place for you. Also, if you are not PGDE-certified, you're more likely than not, be at a disadvantage. Bosses of this company are quite drowned in work. You need em, you gotta catch them before they run off. Almost as if they rush from start to end.

    Growing opportunity/Flexibility working hours
The good thingsThough working hours is still considered as shift basis and only start operation in the afternoon from Mon to Fri, this gives me ample time to run errands or settle personal staff in the morning before work. There will be at least 1 off day on a weekday, which means I do not need to squeeze among the weekend crowd when going shopping! Throughout the years here, opportunities have been given to hard-working and willing to learn employees, so long as one is willing to learn, opportunity to grow to be a leader will definitely be given.
The challenges-Have to work on at least one weekend or sometimes both weekends. -Need to plan requested off or leave application in advance. - Do expect to handle quite an amount of paperwork

    Time Flies
The good thingsWork is relatively simple, just need to invest time and pay attention to details, so as to reduce painful corrections. New projects at times, you will not be bored, for sure. Impressive team of specialists in the office for curriculum writing, workshops, seminars, and classes. Perks are not bad: birthday celebration, team bonding, staff bonding, year-end celebration, office refreshment.
The challengesLimited meal time with family due to shift work. Too many details to remember as centre staff as there are many products and ad-hoc events. Paperwork. Often has to rely on Google for IT troubleshooting.

    Opportunities to Grow
The good thingsI have been working here for 8 years!!!!!!!! This company has given me different opportunities to grow. Get to interact with different groups of parents and children. It is just so fun to chat with the kids and see them growing up with us! Work closely with the centres and various departments in the HQ. This is where i get to know their roles better and understand their challenges. You will tend to be more mindful as you need to work as a team. Have a positive learning attitude and growth mindset! You will be stretch and this is how you learn.
The challengesChange. You need to keep up with the changes. But without constant change, how can the company improve?

    Educational planning
The good thingsThe work allowed me to interact with people more and less of a desk bound job. I got to travel to different centres and understand the problems of issues faced ground up. The job scope also empowered me to make decisions and learn from fellow staff as a team.
The challengesI faced decisions that were made at short notice and sometimes the information has to be disseminated to the other staff immediately for immediate actions. These could be challenging at times as I have to ensure that the information given are accurate and that the staff follow up with the correct actions as well.

    Great Experience
The good thingsAdministrative assistance is provided. Each branch is equipped with a smart board and are located very near MRT stations thus providing easy access for students and teachers. They have creative ways of teaching writing. Most of the materials have a \"fun\" element. The students appear to enjoy the lessons.
The challengesPerhaps teachers are given advanced copies of the teaching materials to better prepare for a close to perfect lessons.
