Stable job with great benefitsThe good things- Free uniform, free staff lunch, yearly overseas trip, fixed working hours
- stable working hours with some time to focus on individual learning
- flexible hours that allow teachers to go for night classes upon request
- cheerful students who work very hard, no matter the development level
- closely knitted work environment whenever help is needed
The challenges- Curriculum may be difficult to execute especially for special needs students
- teachers have to work on weekend
- compulsory monthly documentation in the form of 30 minutes recording for each class or more. May need to use your own laptop and recording device.
- some senior teachers are not very friendly or caring towards the junior teachers. They need to be more transparent, a little more empathetic in their feedback and not depend on hearsay.
- need to hit sales target without not much incentive to retain teachers
- management is a little too accommodating towards demanding parents and accept their every request. This leads to teachers' burnout as they have to fend for themselves and answer to parents request at night.
