Mentally degrading, it's not worth your effort.
The good thingsColleagues were adequate and communicating with patients was a fruitful experience.
The challengesThe actual starting time of 8 am is a lie, work starts earlier for prep. The management style was rigid and uncompromising (authoritarian), which created a stressful work environment. Communication between staff and management was often ineffective, leading to misunderstandings and conflicts. There were instances where professional conduct was not maintained, such as getting shouted at by the manager in front of the patient just for asking for help. The management's approach to mental health concerns among staff could be improved to foster a more supportive workplace.

It was an overall fun and enriching experience and it allows me to learn how the hospital wards operate on a daily basis.
The good thingsThe supervisors are very friendly and patiently taught us the stuff that we need to know to top up the wards.
The challengesMight have some challenges in terms of time constraints as we need to respond quick when the wards request items from us.

My career as nurse at NHC
The good thingsI was given the opportunity to study and upgrade myself. Working environment was conducive with latest equipment in line with other hospitals. Supervisors were supportive and always willing to teach. A place to grow and sharpen my skills as a nurse.
The challengesThe high turnover over patients and the increase workload. Shortage of manpower and increase demands from patients and families. Improve patient nurse ratio and empower patients to caring for themselves. This will in turn help them become more independent and confident to manage at home.

Good Place to Earn Healthcare Experience
The good thingsThe nurses and healthcare professionals are very friendly and approachable. Work schedule is structured around 5 days (+alternate half-Saturday), great for those who usually cannot work on the weekends. You'll see patients from all walks of life with different ailments and needs, it's a good place to earn some healthcare experience if you are not sure if it is your cup of tea.
The challengesSome of the doctors could be more understanding of staff rather than continuously berate them for every small mistake or oversight that does not harm patients/staff. They need to understand that most staff are not trained as doctors, they do not know in-depth medical information that sometimes only doctors would know.

    good working environment
The good thingssupportive supervisors and fellow colleague will help one another if needed. good salary package with bonuses and working hours is just fine with me.
The challengesMy boss did not like to talk to her fellow employees on certain issue. instead of listening to one staff, she should have open concept thinking abt other staff. she will just ask the exec to handle the problems which i feel its unfair. She should have weekly meeting with all staff so that the staff know that she is a caplable listener and will assist in the problem that arise

    Good learning culture
The good thingsStaff's learning opportunities are focused, and employees get the chance to advance their own learning in their areas of interest. Career paths are clearly laid out, which can be helpful in motivating staffs as they have a clear idea of how far away they are from their goal.
The challengesStaff who are seconded to other hospitals should be recognized for their contributions upon their recall. Seconded staffs usually receive no recognition for their efforts, achievements and dedication in the area they are seconded to nor from their primary employer.
