    Only time will tell if my journey with ONE is a great one. But for now, I have to say it has been a bag of mixed emotions which honestly I am grateful for the opportunity to be working for. Looking forward to the challenges & greater days ahead.
    The good thingsThough this container shipping company is only 5yrs old, it is tagged with its legacy companies whom have been in the business for over 30yrs. The company's vision & values also resonates well with the business models that embraces opportunities and purposes in every possible way. Listed below are the other goods things in my perspectives.     The challengesLet's be honest here, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Challenges are everywhere, even more so when there's a disruption with the market trend.     I enjoy the environment with supportive management.
    The good thingsFlexible work timing and work from home/office arrangement. HR promotes a few programs to help staff with regards to work/life balance. Opportunities for personal upgrading is possible if you get HOD approvals. A lot of welfare and benefits given to staff. Salary either match or exceed market.
    The challengesHigh management expectations, which is expected since we are paid better.

    The good thingsGood IT system and office software. However, some important ingredients and office "software" are missing. Company is capitalising on Covid-19 situation and maximising load factor and this may cause the recent ONE APUS and ONE AQUILA ship accidents.

    Career advancement opportunity is very scarce
    The good thingsNew Office and environment is good.
    The challengesSmooth talk is very crucial in this office. Workers must smooth talk to their middle management. Otherwise you will be assigned to many manual and meaningless task. Staff need to pretend to be busy during office hour and if possible try to stay late in the office even though you have not much work to do. Career advancement opportunities are very scarce because this origination prefers to hire outsiders to be your supervisors instead of grooming their own staff for promotion.
