    Mechanical engineer

Singapore11 to 12 years in the role, current employee
Low career development, always no manpower to work in a very tight scheduled project.
The good thingsIt is a nice place to work if like to work under stressful environment. And love to take challenge for project with less manpower and minimum technical support.
The challengesNo career development at all, don't expect any technical training and support. No promotion will be given even you have achieved some difficult projects. The working environment and the lunch canteen is terrible, employees always get sick easily.

Poor leadership, low class KPI system
The good thingsMultitasking training ground (quality doesn't matter, the most important is cost saving)
The challengesNo proper training, poor guidance. You must have good talent and self-motivated in order to survive here. They like to see you OT, work/life balance lifestyle is just a dream.

No job stability and no proper severance package.
The good thingsPeople on the ground are helpful and supportive
The challengesGive proper retrenchment packages especially to those that have worked in the company for many years and give those you have selected advance notice, those retrenched have family to feed, paying just one month salary on the day of notice is not an act of professionalism. How to find a job within one month in current economy?
