Dynamic, but has too much adhoc tasks and has unnecessarily excessive working hours depending on your position
The good thingsWork was generally very dynamic, and you can expect to learn a lot of things in the job. Tasks can at times be time-challenging but it can push you to become more competent in what you are expected to do in the job.
The challengesAdhoc tasks that were irrelevant to the job were often given to engineers, leaving them with very little opportunity to learn or advance themselves in the job. The HR system is so disjointed it is a big hassle submitting a single claim (e.g. overtime). And the company has the tendency to glorify workers putting in unnecessarily excessive working hours.

    Personally, informative and broadening skills
The good thingsEngaging, upskilling, motivating, challenging, collaborative and supportive.
The challengesPersonally, I had a problem with the slackers in the company. They lowered productivity as a whole. They also tended to shove their work to me. I dealt with this in a polite and respectful manner by telling them that I couldn’t do their work for them. Instead, I helped alongside them to complete their work and talked to them to understand why they did not want to finish their work. I supported them and helped them be more participative in the company as a whole.

    Nothing special.
The good thingsImmediate team members are cooperative and reliable. Due to the lack of back end support, as a front end support personnel you get a lot more opportunities to delve deeper and solve issues people at your level do not get to experience.
The challengesLack of cooperation when it comes to external teams as they always require several attempts at follow-up before an update is received. Too many foreign degree holders in the company with language barrier, communication is very difficult, language problems also cause downstream problems like constant typo errors that end up creating unforseen account creation errors.

    Excellent work atmosphere
The good thingsVery employee friendly, concerned about our wellbeing ,amazing supervisors and team, various options available for self improvement and one of the important work ethic I liked the most is never fire resources try to accommodate in various other projects available.
The challengesSince it is a services company for various government projects there were many challenges involved , yet the team has a learning spirit and go getter attitude to win.

Good start for a fresh graduate
The good things- Given an opportunity to gain hands on experience in the IT sector without judgement as a fresh graduate. - Friendly/supportive project team and project managers. Technical knowledge was also well shared among project team mates. - Opportunity given to understand the work process/job scope. - Project briefing was detailed and queries raised were well handled by employer. - Deployed to working location/site near home. (Convenient working location).
The challenges- Barely any benefits. Allocated monthly leaves, but not allowed to use it during project cycle. No OT pay until after 9PM when working hours is only 9-6 with single engineer having to maintain entire site alone. (Based on scope, engineer tends to go home late most nights or productivity will be affected for the next day) - Poorly maintained rodent infested office provided for engineers from company for imaging and storing systems. - Had to work with demotivating and rogue vendors from other company for project. (Company to company issue taken out on new engineer) - Insecure working with other vendors. (violent project manager from other company) - Other vendors not co-operating when engineer faces network issue. - No proper point of contact given when randomly thrown into deployment without proper training. (Only trained to image then) - New engineer had to solo while other sites had 2 engineers stationed. - Above all, boss barely respects or appreciates anything done by engineers over wrong report from admin.

The good thingsOver promise under deliver, Service Desk does not do troubleshooting but act as a telephone operator. Backend team does not know what they are doing, The only team that are working are the Onsite FS team which act as onsite desktop engineer as well as service desk & Backend team.
The challengeseverything FS team do, backend & service desk do nothing, Backend Team keep asking for screenshot which FS team sent but still asking for screenshot. Service desk never do troubleshooting, does not even know the IT languages, does not know what is Mobile Dongle. inform them the step 10 times still repeat the same mistakes
