The good thingssome nice colleagues but don't expect that people will help you as much, as their on hand task are quite full. So be prepared to learn most of the stuff and ask around by yourself
The challengessometime management will give your last minute task to do, so please prepare to work even when you are at home or off work.

It is a generally growth-centric environment but you will need to show you're committed to growth!
The good thingsStaff and fellow colleagues from PA are generally very helpful in sharing knowledge and best practices. Everyone I have come across so far in my years in PA is friendly :)
The challengesThe job can get very busy! Be expected to work over the weekends and late at night occasionally. After all, our job involves serving the community and that's a 24/7 commitment already! So learn to make time for yourself and take the opportunity to grow!

A company great for work-life balance
The good thingsThe work-life balance! I mostly get to knock off on the dot, unless when there's some important work that needs to be rushed out. Which wasn't very often.
The challengesPoor career advancement. As this is a very comfy job, no one is leaving. Therefore, no vacancies for advancement. Most likely, you'll be stuck at your post for years.

    Depends on Where you Work
The good thingsFamily environment. Not really a desk bound job as a Constituency Manager. If you just look at the work itself, it's very easy to learn.
The challengesChallenges your multitasking skill to the very max. You might be given more responsibilities, so try to survive one cycle (one year) and things will just repeat afterwards.

The good thingsThe teamwork with the executives and managers gives you a great satisfaction. The people there were friendly and helpful. It is day to day challenge for us to face the public with enquires about all things regarding the government and relevant agencies policies.
The challengesit is challenging to manage people of different works of life. their opinions counts and sometimes we do make mistakes but we have to learn from it and move on.

A bad choice out of desperation
The good things2 hours lunch breaks, monthly birthday celebration, flexible reporting time between 730am to 9am. Accessible for the differently-abled.

Good working environment but pathetic pay
The good thingsI get to plan events for residents and residents bonding in the community. I get to be part of the community building getting people from all aspect to get together to preserve kampong spirits. I have the opportunity to meet many people from all walks of life, get t share and be shared of their life experience and all.
The challengesToo low a salary given it being a government subsidised organisation.

Family-like environment due to nature of organisation
The good thingsPlenty of activities to participate in as the prime organiser of nation-wide programmmes. Stress level, however, peaks when nearing the day of event organised by your team/ department.
The challengesTo be able to (metaphorically) bridge and connect the heartlanders to the organisation's management. To strike a balance between creating a novel idea as a mean to its end and ensuring it is achievable.

The good thingsRewards can be derived from job satisfaction if serving the community is your calling
The challengesExpect to do many different sorts of activities and be prepared to roll up your sleeves. There are some days that you might have to work long hours or even weekends/public holidays but it also greatly depends on which department you are working in.

Community Bonding and assisting the elderly citizens
The good thingsGiven freedom to experiment new ideas with supports from the Management. With such trust it enable to have an impetus to progress. Community bonding is very challenging and demanding but enabled job satisfaction when related programme and tasks were completed successfully.
The challengesKeeping updated to the demand and spear heading innovative programme and activities to bring the community bonding to the highest level. Have been in different divisions have different expectations but the bottom line is that we must maintain the same attitudes.
