    good choice for a decent retail experience
    The good thingsnot overly strict, fairly reasonable manager and staff. good for first-timers looking to rack up work experience as you get to handle a variety of tasks and not just basic customer navigation, which is great for your resume. qualifications also not strictly required.
    The challengespay is a bit low for the workload. there are f&b places that pay more per hour.

    The challengesLong working hours and standing job. Workload is unexpectedly high. Lunch and dinner breaks must consume in office cannot go out eat. Must cover different dept personnel especially when shortage of manpowers.

    GREAT WAY TO EARN POCKET MONEY DURING SEMESTER BREAK
    The good thingsBasically you get to improve your communicating skills and how to deal with all types of people. This job teaches you how to be patient, discipline, multitask, clean as you go, you name it.
    The challengesWorking in popular you would have to stand most of the time which at first will be difficult but as time goes by you'll figure it out. There will be time where you'll have to work alone in your department due to lack of employee, you'll have to handle most of the things so it'll get pretty busy.

    Busy but very fruitful
    The good thingsIt was an eventful experience as I dealt with retail and customer service. I got to learn a lot from my experience there.
    The challengesLong hours and overtime almost everyday. It was very difficult especially when I had work for consecutive days a week. Hard labour and requires quite a bit of stamina.

    Multiple opportunities to learn
    The good thingsAs a part-time / temporary staff, I was posted to a certain department within the store. Through willingness to learn, I learnt some basics of the other departments so that I was able to enjoy working better. It worked out for me as my manager was kind enough to approve my request to change departments to learn more. I have definitely enjoyed working at the store!
    The challengesMore staff are usually needed during peak periods, e.g. weekends, public holidays.
