    Good experience
The good thingsGood environment, colleague are good, boss sometimes understand what the staff going through. At time give the beneiftis of adults.
The challengesMeeting deadlines, turnover very high especially the editors side. Younger generation cannot take stress and always give up.

    Regret
The good thingsThe building is new so environment is relatively clean.
The challengesHard to get things done as people here lacks motivation. No reward for extra work done. Salary gets frozen indiscriminately. No variable bonus for many years already.

    Not worth it.
The good thingsGood guidance from my store manager.

    Popular book sales event
The good thingsI worked as a part time for Popular for an book sales event. I was immediately hired and work schedule was given to me. Though there was some hiccups along the way regarding days off, I was happy working there because of the friendly staffs. A good point too, pay day was fast and quick! Big thumbs up!
    The challengesLonger training days.

My experience as a Managing Editor at Educational Publishing House
The good thingsThere is a formal corporate human resource structure and corporate benefits which you do not get in typical small-medium enterprises which ensures that all money-related issues are dealt with quickly and fairly. Free transport to the office from multiple locations.
The challengesThe communication between the management and the staff is virtually zero. The staff have absolutely no power or means to communicate with anyone beyond the Publishing Manager, who basically has a lockdown on all communication going up or down. Although they are an educational publisher, they have zero staff with formal teaching experience. They give up quality for quantity and speed.

Good Eye-Opener for Fresh Graduate but Not Ideal for Career Development
The good thingsMarketing Personnel gets exposed to a wide array of marketing functions. Great for fresh graduate to start off at. Get to work with different departments and understand their operation flow. Though individually, everyone has their own campaigns and job scopes, when a major project comes in, the team was great in working together and get things done.
The challengesLittle autonomy, planning and management micro-manages. Year to year similar campaigns with little improvisation. Lots of projects are not well-thought out e.g. profitability, industry suitability, and managers' current skills for support. No active career / skills development from HR. Manpower often lacking thus mangers have to double up causing fatigue.
