The Financial Consultant Is NOT Just Another Number!!!!
The good thingsIf you are blessed with great colleagues (at agency level, customer service dept & claims dept) like me, you are truly blessed beyond measure. If you have clients who value you as a professional, you will go all ways for them!
The challengesTOP Leadership has to look beyond the Sales numbers. Agency Leadership has to be scrapped to provide reasonable compensations to the hardworking and ethical agents. As long as leadership at the top and at agency level takes the FCs as a mere number, the morale will continue to be low and these quality FCs will find greener pasture anytime!

An exceptional life insurance company in general.
The good thingsOn a Financial Consultant level: - A good entry level platform to learn about sales, marketing, and management as a financial sales associate. - Acquire a wealth of knowledge in health and life insurance products/investment products. - The ability to hone your communication skills as all levels. - The ability to experience corporate insurance sales via Employees' Benefits - The infamous "uncapped income". - The opportunity to meet all kinds of customers. About the Company: - Encourage and provide opportunities to advisors to actively attend in-house courses, seminars and trainings to equip with skill sets to service the masses and affluent customers. - Effective IT platform for advisors and customers. - Efficient customer service and claims operations. If sales advisory, chasing targets and ultimately a management role in having your own team is your kind of dream, go for it.
The challengesI speak only as a former Financial Consultant, that just like any sales job, you earn your income according to your hardwork.

Knowing what you want in life is very important
The good thingsThink of this job as a springboard to your future. But you must know EXACTLY what you want in life and have a strong definition of who you are as a person before you take the leap so that you can land correctly.
The challengesWork life balance is almost zero in the beginning. But if you are hardworking and have a specific vision of what you want your future to look, it will make all the effort you put in worth more than your wildest imagination.

    Lack of Sales Innovation
The good thingsNice office, free printer, bosses throw food parties, good camaraderie.
The challengesThe bosses at Pathfinder just do not care about improving lead generation for their agents. If you are looking around, please look for an agency that pays for your lead generation.

The entire management will pressure or coax you into doing things you're uncomfortable with
The good thingsSome colleagues from a different team were helpful
The challengesNon helpful team mates and team leads. will micromanage you. No life, no time for self. Always coaxing or pressuring you to do things you're uncomfortable with. Will make you sign things and when you ask what, they won't let you see and will gloss over it

Flexible work timing with good problem.
The good thingsMeeting new customers everyday. Solving clients financial shortfalls. Identifying client’s needs and providing financial advice in relation to insurance, investment, retirement and savings to achieve their financial goals
The challengesWe face rejections almost every single day in this career. That is pretty much about the career of a sales person, still we enjoy protecting people with important insurance products and assist them with better ideas for money growth.

    Tiring
The good thingsThe flexibility. You can choose when to work and when not to. So there’s a lot of freedom. You get to learn a lot of soft skills as well. No office politics unlike in other job because what one earns or do does not affect the other, so colleagues are very helpful and friendly.
The challengesVery tiring. You have to be ready to face rejections every single day. And the effort that you put in may not be proportional to your salary/commissions. One has to be willing to spend some money before earning due to certain requirements for the job.

    Awesome experience
The good thingsEmployers treat you like one of their own despite you being an intern. \"Do not view yourself as an intern\" is what Prudential stresses as you have been considered one of their colleagues the moment you are accepted.
The challengesMore responsibilities can be put on the intern so as to add more pressure on the intern. Diamonds are created under pressure.
