Work hard but play hard too
The good thingsRoyal Caribbean's staff comes from all over the world and you will be exposed to the different nationalities and cultures. There are multiple opportunities for career development and there is recognition for hard work. The best part of course is the opportunity to visit the different port of calls.
The challengesNot having any days off for months straight takes some getting used to. Towards the end of my 6 months contract, I felt that the work was repetitive and tiring. On the bright side, there is no such thing as \"Monday Blues\" anymore.

Highly stressful job for a low paying company with inconsiderate bosses!
The good thingsThe only two good things working with this company is just the \"Travel Around The World\" and a chance to work onboard a luxury ship and that's the only thing, nothing else.
The challengesWorking onboard ships is the most difficult job anywhere else in the planet. Start work 8am, take a break and your 1st food for the day at 2pm then take a nap and go back by 4pm, then break again for 30mins at 6pm then finish work by past 11pm at night. Go to cabin and mingle with crew til 3-4am and sleep until 6am. This goes for 6-8months everyday without \"DayOffs\" with inconsiderate bosses.

Getting Paid To See The World For Free
The good thingsAs the title says, getting paid to work while seeing the world for free! You get to travel around the world, see beautiful and historical places in the world, see different cultures, make friends with different races, no commutes to work, no worry about traffic, no utilities to pay while living on board, no worry what meal to cook. It's all there. You can save money depending on your lifestyle.
The challengesIt's not for everyone. Not because of the qualification but the level of stress and fatigue. It's a fast paced working environment with so many standards to maintain and go above with. Plus the sacrifice of working away from family. Demands so high. You need to be tough mentally, emotionally, physically & spiritually. If u r weak in one of those, you might not like nor finish your contract.
