    The good thingsOpportunities to attend trainings, workshops and courses. Relatively good yearly salary increments in good economic times. Supportive department managers (subjective). Policies and procedures are in place. Big multinational company with excellent exposure to working with people from various nationalities and cultures which in turn offer many platforms for learning and sharing. Opportunities for business travel depending on role held within the company.
    The challengesGenerally top down management structure with not much avenue for communication and idea sharing. Certain policies and working procedures may appear to some as being a hindrance more than helpful. Dependent on the department you work in, there could be not much room for career progression. Possibly due to the company's large size, many corporate initiatives or decisions are at times not made clear until the last minute.

    My working experience with Saipem Singapore was awesome but as time was bad for the Oil & Gas Industry therefore the whole ROV subsidary was closed down.
    The good thingsMy Operations Manager is a very understanding person and always leave it to my initiative to book whichever flight is convenient for our personnel to travel offshore for any project in order to also save cost for our company. Which is a win, win situation. My company also practise work life balance and will not bother me about work on my weekends or off days and the management will handled situation themselves until I come back to the office on my usual working day.
    The challengesWhen booking flights it has to be done weeks in advance especially during peak seasons for our personnel to have their crew change scheduled if booking is done near to travel date flight might get full and seats will be limited or will be waitlisted which is not good for my job.

    An enriching and rewarding work experience.
    The good thingsThis is a great place to be involved in project developmen immediately upon hire. The seniors are very knowledgeable and willing to share their experiences and knowledge. They are also willing to hear of new ideas and concepts.
    The challengesAs a fresh entry one may be daunted by the sheer amount of responsibilities given but that is cushioned by the helpful mentors and seniors who are always available to give guidance and advice.
