    Not recommended.
The good thingsThe incumbent may potentially benefits from a laid-back management style, which may provide a “relaxed” work environment.
The challengesThe work culture has notable challenges, including a lack of inclusivity within teams and a hierarchical structure that fosters dominance rather than collaboration. Unprofessional behaviour, unclear communication, and instances of manipulation in the communication process further undermine the overall workplace dynamics and morale.

    Laid Back Organisation
The good thingsRemuneration package and benefits are on par with public service, which is pretty good. Stable career choice for those lacking in motivation or ambition to succeed. Whether this is a pro or con, entirely up to individual.
The challengesSenior management are very laid back. Lack of directions and forecast planning throughout all departments. Fire fighting on a daily basis(but everyone still can knock off on time!?!) which could have been avoided with a more pro-active approach. Severely under staffed not just on the front line(understandable as healthcare sector experiencing labour crunch), but at the backend administrative support as well. For those driven and ambitious individuals, frustrations aplenty working here.

    Poor career development
The good thingsVery few good things.
The challengesEmployee proposition is “ Grow with SATA CommHealth. We value you. Together, we serve the community” Pretty much opposite of this. No growth as promotion will be given to others. Even if work well and do a lot of ad hoc activities. So staff who has been there for more than 10 years can be having the same position since they join.

    Poor Leadership style
The good thingsConvenient location for me
The challengesPoor Leadership and Management style in my department. To be a leader, you must know the destination and goals first. Then also take responsibility for the problems and mistakes. Not just pushing it away

Don't expect to learn much, just work
The good thingsYou might find some really good colleagues but don't expect them to find any mentors especially from management level.
The challengesOrders that come from the top does not make sense but you will just have to do them anyway. Oppose any of the orders and you would be deemed to be defiant or incompetent or even considered as a insubordinate. Not much guidance or explanation during work so don't expect to get much experience during your tenure at this work place. Not much opportunity for career advancement. Want to keep your job ? just stay low and don't ask too much.

Learn to follow orders without questioning to keep the rice bowl.
The good thingsSome sensible, responsible colleagues working as a team. Have faith that poor-performing management is not permanent since this is not a family business. There are opportunities for checks and balances in certain areas. There are chances to serve the community in some ways.
The challengesThe Board's orders are of top priority. No doubts, no excuses, no buts. Team work is ignored. Workers are instructed, not consulted. The objectives and rationale of management's instructions are not explained and the relevance of the required actions might not be clear. Staff is expected to create the desired outcome or deemed to be incompetent.

The good thingsOpportunity to learn all aspects of administrative and clinical duties plus all other medical support that require utmost passion and patience.
The challengesSo far I could manage almost all challenges with guidence from both the medical director and the clinic manager.

Stable job and conducive work environment
The good thingsHelpful colleagues generally Good governance but the management and Board need to review and change current work procedures where necessary to improve work efficiency and improve customer satisfaction Management is tolerant of mistakes and does not fire staff on whim and fancy unlike AMKFSC Community Services, Phillip Securities, School of the Arts, and Nanyang Technological University. They patiently guide staff and create a safe environment to work in.
The challengesNeed to attend last minute or frequent night meetings Workload is very heavy and many departments are understaffed Many last minute and tight deadlines
