The good thingsThe environment is good, the people you work with are all very friendly and the working hours part-time is very flexible despite the minimum working days per month requirement. Benefits as a part-timer is alright, discounts at a few F&B outlets, the souvenir shops and cable car/skyline rides are free. Superiors were mostly understanding and friendly, they will try to be on your side should you face any difficult guests so long as you did not make the situation any worse. There are short breaks in-between the working hours including a 1 hour lunch or dinner break. The short breaks are at the discretion of the supervisors when it is possible to give but if required, you can just ask.
The challengesYou deal with many different types of guests from all kinds of backgrounds, you have to learn to be tolerable to how they behave and interact with you. You have to maintain composure regardless of how irritating, rude or disrespectful the guest may come across. It may be tiring handling large amount of guests and performing crowd control sometimes due to lack of manpower and as long as you are in uniform, you are required to assist guests regardless of if you are on break or not. You are to follow strictly to uniform policies, bringing or adding on addition gear or equipment that isn’t allowed even if it is to enhance your performance on the job may result in disciplinary action. You have to be on time regardless of the reason, if you are late, you will be written up for disciplinary action even if the reason was due to stomachache for example. Feedback and suggestions from staff will usually be noted but no action will be taken unless more of the same feedback is given or if the feedback was from guests. Pay is pretty average, could be better at the time but from my understanding, they have made changes for the better a few months after I left.

Contact of key point of the city

    Island Life Living
The good thingsThe fact that people in the island work like people in the central business district, but at the same time, get as much enjoyment as a laidback surfer by the beach would. The warm (literally and figuratively) environment here makes everyday an easy day to face. Monday's never felt like it, cause everyday is just fun day!
The challengesGetting in and out of the island might be a challenge to some, especially those who work in the corporate office and has to take the shuttle buses in and out of the island at stipulated timings. Getting food might be a challenge to for those who are lazy to travel out for lunch.
