    The challengesLow salary does not equate the amount and heavy we work. Salary not as competitive as outside thus many juniors tend to quit.

    The good thingsFellow colleagues are decent to work with. Pay will always be on time. SIA group benefit is extended to employee of this company.
    The challengesManagement have little to no clue what is happening on the ground and they tend to make questionable decisions. Pay is way below industrial average and the company does not notice it. Tend to favor newcomers rather than those who have work in the company.

    The good thingsGet to learn Aircraft Maintenance Scheduling and Planning, understand and preload/order required aircraft spares needed for task compliance and completion before the due date, get to work closely with Airbus (TSP) for their A330 (SQ) Fleet.
    The challengesCan be stressful at times, 3 factors required for any task completion is (1) Availability of Ground Time for the specific Aircraft, (2) Availability of Manpower for doing the task and (3) Availability of the required spares. Have to coordinate and follow up on all these before task expires. Often one of the three indicated is missing and task is overrun and it gets very stressful, yet manageable.

    Lots of things to learn!
    The good thingsVery OJT type of working. For those who like to learn there's always something for you. Aviation and especially maintenance and overhaul is quite a niche market. The strict regulatory and complex business process would give you much exposure of the type of quality and no nonsense expectation.
    The challengesBig company with lots of protocol and people management and coordination among departments and customers. Progression can be slow with average increment yearly.
