Right place to start your career in health care and social service space
The good thingsColleagues are largely friendly and willing to support others, strong mission to serve those with cancer. Very good benefits for optical, dental care.
The challengesa lot of work to do, attrition is high. Staff do their best to get work done, and sometimes get burnt out.

    Poor Quality Employer
The good thingsUsed to be the likeminded colleagues seeking to help those impacted with cancer. But more and more of them are looking for greener pastures.
The challenges"Empower" the ground staff is basically delegating the work away so you don't have to bother. Poor-Limited direction given. If work need to assigned to people to do. Please give better direction than "can you handle it" A lot of projects are done for optics purposes. There's a little to no regard for employees time and effort and little to no appreciation for operations. Frontline staff are barely coping having to deal with clients while management just keep asking the same people to "adopt a growth" mindset. A lot of things have be improved with IT enhancements and implementations but improvements are slow due to a overworked and lean IT department.

The good things- Able to serve the public and under-privileged. Compensation and Benefits are Fair. Not a dull moment.
The challengesLack of clear direction - strategic thrusts and daily work don't match. Too Much Work and tool little people doing the real work .
