The good thingsI enjoy working here because it is a fulfilling job. It requires alot of heartwork and to know we had made a difference in a family at the end of the day, it gives me immense pleasure.
The challengesMy department requires me to work on weekends which is a challenge for me.

    Regretted working there
The good thingsIt is a good place to start off as an entry level staff but not a place where you can see a career progression.
The challengesStaff matters/concerns should be addressed more objectively. HR department need to be more independent in addressing staff matters.

    It was an enriching experience
The good thingsWas able to understand better about how charity organisation functions. Was able to serve the less fortunate in the community. Job rotations helped me to understand and contribute to both finance and HR department
The challengesMeeting the expectation of our beneficiaries. Approvals of various levels are required as we need to meet the finance & procurement standards of charity Reaching out to the right target group of people for our programmes

The good thingsWorking environment as well as the growth career opportunity.
The challengesWork with grace under pressure especially during busy hours; difficult guest are my favorite because I believe that you can create a good relationship with them if you really become more sensitive about what they want and how they like to be treated.☺

    Excellent Staff Benefits
The good thingsThe company provides full or partial training sponsorship for its staff who want to upgrade themselves academically. And SIM is always a family-friendly organisation. There is a child care centre for staff to put their kids while parents can attend work with a peace of mind. Apart from that SIM also organises annual staff events for staff and their families to participate.
The challengesPromotion is difficult as it is common to have staff who have been working there for 10 over years, so vacancies are limited.
