    good insight to understand how GOV organization works
    The good thingsstability and some dept can WFH at least 2X a week.
    The challengeswork place might be toxic due to different type of bosses and bosses background, especially those from uniformed background (different ways of thinking)

    The good thingsSalary high for an entry level job. No progression.
    The challengesManagement is bad. Does not listen. Supervisor keep changing. Cant even use the toilet in your office if you are a contract staff. Not transparent in evaluating your performance.

    The challengesProcesses have much room for improvements and indeed top management must continue to have determination to push for transformations at all levels and manage resistances from within.

    Wished I could have my contract extended but under circumstances ...
    The good thingsLots of benefits! Especially during COVID where we received gifts from office to cheer us up and build our defense against COVID.
    The challengesSadly, I joined the organisation during the peak of Covid, I missed out on Orientation, and ability to network and meet my colleagues. I was only limited to my Reporting Officer and certain stakeholders.

    The good thingsColleagues in the same team are very nice and they try to help as much as they can even though they are also very busy.
    The challengesNo proper guidelines. Poor managements from the higher upz. Alot of petty and cold higher management. Very lil communications from higher managements too.

    The good thingsLearned MOM policy and guidelines. Working at MOM taught me how to work with discipline, dedication and commitment. Understood the Government agency's efforts taken to safeguard our citizens and Migrant Workers at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
    The challengesNeed to be cautious and proactive in taking decisions. No on-the-job training is provided. one should take initiative to learn from your fellow colleagues.

    The good thingsOT/Off and all these benefits are well compensated to you. No doubts I really appreciate all these privileges given.
    The challengesWorking hard and excellent performance doesn’t guarantee you a better placing. Many of the important roles are taken by retired uniform group personnels and they always like to use their ranks and seniority to command people around to do things. They are always right and never in the wrong. Environment suits people who have military/uniform backgrounds. We always say that this place is being run like an army camp.

    Great experience working with MOM
    The good thingsThis is by far the best company I have ever worked for, however it is difficult to get a permanent position there, most of the job offered are contract basis (it comes with benefit though). Great work life balance.
    The challengesEvery jobs have it's own challenges, nothing that one cannot handle as intense training are provided.

    The challengesEvery job has its challenges. Most bosses are preoccupied with their jobs and only interested in meeting targets & cases. Hence staff are stressed up with no work life balance.

    The challengesif you're a contract staff the "rules" don't apply to you so you don't get benefits and you don't really get treated well since you're like a "second class". there is also alot of office politics and inertia here

    The good thingsGood and friendly working environment and very helpful seniors and managers, Quick in problem-solving and communications. Accessible location with much public transports to choose.
    The challengesInstruction can be complicated at times but once you have clarify with the seniors, they will give you an answer immediately and clearly too.

    The challengesDifficulty in being flexible to what we may assist customers, due to regulations and policy. Hard to hit KPI, has it highly depends on the performance on the call handling and how the service was provided.
