    Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
    Mar 2026
Changi Airport East Region10 to 11 years in the role, former employee
Good exposure for aircraft maintenance but expect slow career progression and low salary.
The good things- Stable job and office hours. - Extra Overtime for weekends. - Good exposure for Base Maintenance.
The challenges- Need to work weekends to meet the deadline for aircraft projects. - Long working hours and minimum welfare for workers. - Career progression and salary increase very minimum and slow. - A lot of responsibility and workloads. - Bond of 10 years and break bond fee of $100K for trainee licensed engineer program. - High turnover rate for technicians and engineers. - Top and Middle managements use micromanagement styles and very calculative on OT hours and daily monitoring of tea-breaks on staffs.

    Only for the money
The good thingsSome great colleagues but not many. Basic salary ain't much but with OT and bonus may get higher than other aerospace company in Singapore. More of exchanging your time with money so don't expect any work time balance
The challengesManagement is always driving to keep cost down so benefits are gradually reduce. Career progressions are more on who you know rather than on your capabilities. Work culture here expect you to sell your soul to the company.

Very helpful team and positive work environment.
The good thingsEven though I was an intern, all the staff were easily approachable to seek advise and help. Definitely I made some mistakes at work, but they guided me to the right direction with positive attitude.I was an engineering student and so I was disappointed at first knowing I'll be joining logistics department instead of engineering work. After 2 weeks of internship, I realized that was the best thing that happened to me.
The challengesThe facility is old. During break time, resting is necessary but no facility.

    EHS and Fire Safety Consultant
    Jan 2018
9 to 10 years in the role, former employee
The company's safety culture is of a high standard.
The good thingsI had a great time working for the company. The top management kept with the latest trends in Safety and built a safety culture around all aspects of their work. They had a formalized structure of EHS Management and auditing system driven partially by need to serve their clients. The clients were equally demanding because it involved commercial and military aircraft.
The challengesThe challenges were many but briefly, it was their requirement to conform to all legal requirements. A culture built around a well executed Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedure. EHS Training was woven into the fabric of their culture. The challenge was meeting these high standards of training requirements.
