    Navigating inconsistent management and lack of support, which hindered productivity and morale, was my most challenging experience.

    The good thingsSome peers are helpful when in need of assistance.Work timing can be work life balance but you set the pace on your own to finish work.

    The challengesThe long stayers' are conservative and less open to scaling upwards. Understandably so since most of them were pioneers. Takes a bit of coaxing and persuasion.

    Ineffective Finance Team
    The good thingsCant think of anything left that is good about the company. Improved halfway in midway, and then fall back down. Common fact in the industry
    The challengesThe finance workflow is in a mess; all the people in there seemed to be self employed. Word of advice is to email the entire team for every cent used or received as they r all working like on independent entities, you will never know if any monies (in or out) with regards to your department are dutifully accounted for until 2-3 years later.

    Weak HR in the mid-management level
    The good thingsLeaves and benefits, especially flexible benefits, which is not common in a relatively new setup.
    The challengesWeak HR in the middle management level. Acting more like a postman rather than solving problems. Always resort to delegating authority to the Executives when questions were asked.

    The challengesIt was a stressful period working here due to the manager running the ward. There were more fear imposed on the ground staff, rather than encouragement during this difficult period. Hence, be it during low or high patient census, the environment the manager had created makes it equally stressful to work in.

    Teamwork, culture, location
    The good thingsColleagues are friendly and helpful. As long as you are not afraid to ask questions, they will go extra mile to help you. Doctors and nurses are working closely with each other to ensure that their patients get the best quality care. The location is very convenient as it is located just next to the MRT.
    The challengesDoctors handwriting can be hard to read sometimes (but you can always double check with them). Although the hospital location is near to MRT, but you will need to walk to the nearby mall to find food.

    Great benefits for a new Hospital
    The good thingsThis hospital is about 5 years old in operations, and for such a young hospital, their staff benefits are actually quite good if not better than restructured hospitals. The policies for their leaves and benefits claims are also much flexible than other competitors.
    The challengesAs per mentioned earlier, the Hospital is quite new and young, hence definitely in terms of their SOPs, it still needs improvement, but no doubt that they will get there eventually.
