Travelzoo Singapore has no growth potential.
The good thingsGood office facilities Friendly executive-level colleagues in Asia who are easy to work with. As another reviewer pointed out, they are a major reason for staff retention.
The challengesSo many Singapore staff have left Travelzoo in the last 5 years due to mismanagement of staff. The sales department will undermine the production development's work at every turn, instead of working together towards feasible KPIs. Then again, feasible KPIs are impossible. Travelzoo's business is not sustainable in Asia. Simply look at its financial reports and lack of brand recognition. Newsletter readership is low, and there is little marketing of the website. Do your friends and family know of this brand? If not, how would it even be possible for them to expand in Asia, let alone Singapore? The travel industry is tough now given the COVID-19 situation, so give this a pass. Or go for a more established brand with a bigger Singapore presence.

Good Colleagues with a Flat Operational Structure
The good thingsThe support from colleagues as well as the boss is a major factor in staff retention. Colleagues are able to give good guidance in order to help one another achieve more in terms of work performance.
The challengesAs the company is undergoing a transition stage, sometimes workload might become too taxing for the staff.

    Flexible, open and fun culture
The good thingsGreat company to learn travel media products. Good benefits and remuneration. The Travelzoo experience is fantastic and allows employees to travel for free. Company practises an open culture, good empowerment and chances to try new ideas.
The challengesSmall office as compared to other global offices.
