The challengesSo many Singapore staff have left Travelzoo in the last 5 years due to mismanagement of staff. The sales department will undermine the production development's work at every turn, instead of working together towards feasible KPIs.
Then again, feasible KPIs are impossible. Travelzoo's business is not sustainable in Asia. Simply look at its financial reports and lack of brand recognition. Newsletter readership is low, and there is little marketing of the website.
Do your friends and family know of this brand? If not, how would it even be possible for them to expand in Asia, let alone Singapore?
The travel industry is tough now given the COVID-19 situation, so give this a pass. Or go for a more established brand with a bigger Singapore presence.
