Run as fast as you can. A fast-paced work environment with exposure to offshore DP trials and marine systems. However, the company culture, management style, and compensation structure may not be suitable for those seeking stability, balance, and long-term career growth.
The good things- Senior engineers are nice, willing to share their experience and take good care of junior staff. - Exposure to real offshore operations provides hands-on experience early in your career. - Opportunities to take on responsibility quickly, which can accelerate learning if you are self-driven.
The challenges- Compensation is significantly below industry standard. During DP Trials, working hours often range from 12 to 16 hours per day without any additional allowance or overtime pay. - Management often issues last-minute requests, including weekend work, leading to poor work-life balance. - High workload and unclear task delegation are common. Employees who value work-life balance may find the environment especially challenging. - Company culture can feel politically charged at times. Constructive feedback & hard work may not always be recognized positively. - Some feedback from management regarding employees’ personal time & relationships can feel intrusive or inappropriate. - Safety concerns shared with management during offshore projects were not always acknowledged seriously. Communication on such issues can be very dismissive. - Perceived bias in HR treatment was disappointing. Certain comments & attitudes towards nationality and qualifications felt unprofessional & discouraging.

Small company but have survived the ups and downs of the market
The good thingsThe company is just a small company. (Typical SME ) However the strength of the company's leadership is seen in how the company have survived during the markets downturn. Many companies have shut down during the oil price crisis but this company is still going strong.
The challengesOne of the challenges I find working here is that you have to be constantly learning and keeping up with the latest regulations. In this era, if you do not keep on improving, soon you will become obsolete. For some people this might be difficult, which is also the reason why they will fall behind.

Hectic Schedule, not suitable for people who are dreamers
The good thingsThe company ensures that everyone has a conducive work environment by providing the little perks here and there. And the timing is also flexible
The challengesThe company has helped me to grow professionally by exposing the workers to the real working environment. Not all silver lining so dont expect to have a pilot lifestyle. It is very down to earth but you will face alot of challenge and pressure throughout the course of work

    Training and Opportunities
The good thingsProvides comprehensive training and opportunities for growth Easy to adapt to the working environment and management does take into consideration of our views and opinions. Seek to continuously improve on our working conditions and process.
The challengesInitially, the learning curve is steep, there are a lot of stuffs to read and learn before we can handle the job well. Does require one to pick things up fast and apply what have been taught. Not a good thing if the person does not have the capability to learn fast.
