Junior RAN Engineer

Role Summary of a Junior Radio Access Network Engineer:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Radio Access Network (RAN) Engineer to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of radio access networks. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and grow in the telecommunications field while working alongside experienced engineers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance in Network Design: Support senior engineers in planning and designing RAN architecture, including base stations and IP network planning.
  • Deployment Support: Assist in the configuration of RAN equipment, ensuring compliance with network design and strategy.
  • Performance Monitoring: Help analyze network performance data to identify technical issues and monitoring of network.
  • Troubleshooting: Aid in diagnosing and resolving issues related to RAN equipment, collaborating with team members to implement solutions.
  • Documentation and Administrative Tasks: Prepare RAN documents and support in administrative tasks such as replying to emails, request for quotation, filling up forms, communicating with external parties, etc.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including core network engineers, IP engineers and RF engineers.
  • Learning and Development: Actively seek opportunities to enhance your knowledge of new RAN technologies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of RAN technologies and mobile network concepts (LTE, 5G).
  • Familiarity with network planning and monitoring tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with basic networking concepts or related internships is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of mobile network standards (e.g., 3GPP) is a plus.
