Assistant Manager/ Manager, Group Scholarships & Awards, Group HR
Job Description
As a member of Group Human Resources, the incumbent will lead the selected portfolios of Group Recognition Awards & Development Awards under the guidance of the Assistant Director, Group Scholarships and Awards. The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure that recognition awards are aligned to the overall organizational objectives and direction, and that staff are recognized adequately for their contributions at organizational, group and national levels
- Regularly review in-house recognition awards framework for relevancy and effectiveness, and make recommendations for updates and changes as needed
- Keep abreast of changes in national level recognition awards, liaise with Ministries, other clusters, institutions and relevant partners to ensure that change and information are cascaded in an effective and timely manner
- Lead the planning and execution of annual recognition awards cycle including conducting briefing for institutions' representatives, collating awards nomination, performing preliminary review and assessment of incoming nominations, preparing and facilitating awards review panel meetings
- Act as the point-of-contact for stakeholders on matters relating to recognition awards framework, policies and processes
- Continuously review and streamline awards nomination and administration processes for improved efficiency
- May lead or participate as a member in organizing the annual awards ceremony
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff
- Undertake ad-hoc projects relating to Group Scholarships and Awards and Human Resources as assigned
Job Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor Degree in a Business Administration or Human Resources related discipline
- Minimally with 3-5 years of experience in a HR generalist or HR development related role
- Prior experience in managing scholarships and awards portfolio is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong in project management, planning and prioritization
- Meticulous and attentive to details
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Demonstrated experience and ability to engage senior management
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
