Digital Marketing Intern

About the role

The Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for building and growing ROMI's presence across social media platforms and the wider creator and community ecosystem. You will own the day-to-day management of ROMI's social channels, develop engaging content strategies, and lead KOL, influencer, and Public Relations outreach that drives brand awareness and community engagement. This role sits at the intersection of content, marketing, and relationship-building — requiring someone who is deeply plugged into beauty and social media culture, confident behind a content calendar, and skilled at nurturing creator and brand partnerships that deliver real results.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and manage ROMI's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Xiaohongshu, Threads, and other relevant platforms.

  • Develop and maintain monthly marketing and content calendars aligned with product launches, campaigns, and key brand moments.

  • Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and community engagement across all social media platforms.

  • Manage and respond to customer enquiries, comments, and direct messages in a timely and brand-aligned manner.

  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activities, and emerging content formats to keep the brand culturally relevant and ahead of the curve.

  • Brainstorm and execute creative marketing ideas and content concepts aligned with current beauty, fashion, and social media trends.

  • Create engaging social-first content including captions, campaign concepts, Reels, TikTok videos, launch teasers, and community-driven content.

  • Liaise and communicate with KOLs, influencers, media, affiliates, and creators for gifting, collaborations, and campaign executions.

  • Plan and execute end-to-end KOL, influencer, affiliate, and community marketing campaigns including outreach, seeding, tracking, and reporting.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with creators, agencies, media partners, and brand collaborators.

About you

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or influencer marketing; experience in beauty or lifestyle is strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of growing social media accounts and executing KOL or Public Relations campaigns with measurable results.

  • Experience creating content natively for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Xiaohongshu is a strong advantage.

  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, analytics platforms, and influencer management tools is a plus.

  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to craft captions and messaging that are on-brand, engaging, and platform-appropriate.

  • Analytical mindset — able to read performance data, draw insights, and translate them into content or strategy improvements.

  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, content calendars, and creator relationships simultaneously.

  • Basic design sensibility and comfort using tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar for content creation.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with creators, agencies, and partners.
