About the Role

We are looking for a Facilities Management Engineer to support the operations and maintenance of mission-critical data center infrastructure environments. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in data center operations, facilities management, or critical infrastructure engineering who are comfortable managing electrical and mechanical systems in high-availability environments.

You will play a key role in ensuring the operational stability, reliability, and efficiency of critical facility systems while supporting infrastructure expansion and optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the operational readiness of critical data center infrastructure systems

• Handle change management activities, preventive maintenance coordination, and emergency fault response

• Monitor and manage infrastructure system capacity, including power distribution and cooling systems

• Identify, assess, and mitigate infrastructure availability risks while driving issue resolution and closure

• Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, operational efficiency, and energy optimization

• Support the IT Manager in day-to-day operations and ongoing infrastructure projects

• Assist with the design, construction, commissioning, and setup of new data center facilities and server rooms

• Collaborate with colocation (COLO) service providers to manage electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems

• Monitor maintenance activities for critical equipment including UPS systems, generators, chillers, pumps, and cooling towers

• Evaluate vendor and COLO service performance and recommend continuous operational improvements

• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as procurement teams to optimize SLA performance and operational policies

• Analyze operational data, establish infrastructure performance benchmarks, and prepare operational reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

• Minimum 3 years of experience in large-scale data center operations or critical infrastructure management
  OR

• Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience in large-scale industrial or production environments such as factories

• Hands-on experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems and critical infrastructure equipment

• Strong familiarity with UPS systems, generators, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and power distribution systems

• Strong understanding of operational safety standards and risk management practices

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English or Malay

• Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution capabilities

• Able to work effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical operational environments
