Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.
As a Software Engineer in the Thales Embedded Product Development Team, you will participate in the design, implementation, validation and deployment of embedded applications products to the major OEM smartphone customers.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate and deploy new software components (for example advance software security mechanism and next generation IoT connectivity protocols) for embedded operating systems targeted for mobile and IoT devices, in applications such as mobile payment, digital identity and IoT connectivity
Participate to the development of next generation operating systems for future devices
Being in agile development environment to work closely within team and multiple teams around the world to build great products exceeding customer expectations
Contribute to continuous product and development methodology improvement
Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related fields
Around 3 years of practical experience in software development as developer/validator
Proficient in Embedded C for development and VB.NET for validation
Knowledge in Java programming language preferable

Knowledge and experience in embedded technologies/ecosystem, for example:
o Microcontroller programming
o Low level protocols like SPI, UART, I2C
o Device driver programming
Experience in testing and debugging embedded devices using dedicated emulators or simulators
Experience using AI-assisted development tools in daily engineering workflows
Knowledge in smartcard, embedded software security or Javacard is a plus

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm

Aerospace

Research, Technology & Innovation
Runs a Research & Technology (R&T) centre with the aim of complementing and leveraging Singapore's strong eco-system as a research and development hub.Houses an Innovation Hub on-site to engage local and regional customers and partners in user-centered innovation, enabling cross-functional collaborations in co-designing, prototyping and testing of new concepts.Developed strategic academic partnerships, via joint labs housed at Nanyang Technological University, to foster research in nanotechnologies as well as contribute new concepts and technologies for systems used on micro and nano-satellites.Established a Digital Factory in Singapore to accelerate innovation and digital transformation for the Group and its customers in the region.
