Accountant
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, ability to manage full set accounts independently and the confidence to handle full spectrum of financial functions of a hotel.
Key Responsibilities
Keeping full set accounts of the hotel and its holding company
Leading and supervising junior accounting staff
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation
Conducting month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
Maintaining proper documentations and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Monitoring cashflow and supporting cash management
Preparing timely management reports and HQ reports submission
Preparing and submitting quarterly GST returns
Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for management review
Supporting annual audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Maintaining compliance with tax regulations and assisting with tax filings and submissions
Supporting the accounting team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
Requirements
Degree in Accounting or ACCA with strong knowledge of accounting principal and financial reporting standards
At least 5 years of experience in handling full set accounts independently
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with financial data efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
