Accounts Officer (1 Year Contract) (ID: 702558)

About the role

This role involves preparing complete sets of accounts, managing banking and cash handling activities, and supporting financial reporting and audits. You will handle accounts receivable and payable functions, administer payroll for contract employees, and ensure accuracy and timely submissions across all accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare complete sets of accounts, which include income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, trial balances, and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions

  • Manage and maintain banking and cash handling activities, such as deposits, reconciliations, cheque and bank transfer clearances, cash disbursements, cash advances, and petty cash management

  • Assist in the preparation of reports for management and support financial reporting, audits, and policy implementation

  • Aid in accounts receivable functions, including invoice preparation, follow-up on outstanding payments, and reconciliation of funds received for accurate recording and timely collection

  • Support accounts payable tasks, including payment processing, preparation of cheques and bank transfers, transaction recording, and resolution of any invoice discrepancies

  • Handle payroll administration for contract employees, ensuring timely payroll processing, CPF contributions, payroll record reconciliation, and adherence to relevant policies and statutory requirements

About you

  • Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline

  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in accounting and finance functions

  • Familiarity with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reconciliation processes

  • Singapore CA Qualification is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting systems
