Resident Engineer - Mechanical (Data Centre in KL)
Position Overview:
We are hiring this role for an upcoming Data Centre Project in Malaysia. The Resident Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supervising and monitoring all mechanical works on a data centre construction site.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily mechanical installation activities on the data centre site.
Review and verify mechanical shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Monitor installation of key mechanical systems,
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with mechanical standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
Ensure contractors follow quality standards, approved procedures, and project timelines.
Resolve site-level technical issues or escalate to design/engineering teams.
Maintain inspection logs, daily reports, punch lists, and handover documents.
Enforce mechanical safety practices and general HSE compliance on site.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5 to 7 years of experience, including work on data centre or mission-critical mechanical systems.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
