What's it like to be a Forklift Driver?
Forklift Drivers operate forklifts to move large and heavy goods to and from warehouses or building sites. They conduct inspections of the forklift equipment as well as perform basic repairs to ensure the safe and efficient transport of goods. Forklift Drivers work in the logistics and transportation, construction, marine, and manufacturing industries.

How to become a Forklift Driver
You need to be certified to operate a forklift.
- 1.
Attend a forklift operation course at a learning institute approved by Workforce Singapore. The type of certification course depends on the kind of forklift you will be operating: below 5 tonnes or above 5 tonnes.

Pass the exam.
- 3.
Certification is valid for three years, after which you will need to attend a refresher course for recertification.

Apply as a Forklift Driver in logistics and transportation, construction, marine, and manufacturing industries.
