Logistics Managers direct daily logistics operations, ensuring that the right goods are in the right place at the right time. This involves planning and overseeing the purchasing, warehousing, distribution and forecasting of supplies or goods. Logistics Managers also handle project management, recruitment and training, customer service and technology management. They often collaborate with other departments in the integration of logistics with business systems, order management, accounting and shipping.
Tasks and duties
