How to become a Mandarin Teacher
You must complete at least your secondary education to become a Mandarin Teacher. However, should you choose to work in an educational institution, you may need a diploma or degree in Education or Early Childcare.
- 1.Finish your GCE O-Level. However, you may have better prospects as a Mandarin teacher with a diploma or degree in Chinese Studies from the National Institute of Education. Educational institutions may also require a background in Childhood Care or Education.

- 3.Gain relevant classroom experience. You should be well-versed in the Ministry of Education-approved syllabus. Some employers may also prefer candidates familiar with IGCSE standards.
