How to become a Quality Assurance Manager
You need at least a Bachelor�s Degree to be a Quality Assurance Manager. Since this is a mid-level position, you need technical skills relevant to your industry as well as leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- 1.Your degree may depend on your potential employers industry. For example, a software company may prefer a Computer Science graduate. However, a Quality Management, Engineering, or Business Administration background may prove helpful.
- 2.Develop your skills through your practicum, internships, and entry-level positions. Start by becoming a QA Analyst, QA Tester, or Junior QA Engineer. Most employers require at least three to five years of experience.
- 3.Your employer may ask you to take certifications and courses related to your job. For instance, the Basic Food Hygiene Course (BFHC) is mandatory if youre in the food industry.
- 4.An MBA, Masters Degree, or further training may help you progress to more senior roles.
