What's it like to be a Quality Manager?
Quality Managers inspect each manufactured item to ensure it meets quality standards and has all the elements needed to boost client satisfaction. They develop and implement quality control tests where all products are studied thoroughly. They also take down quality issues and other problems that may transpire in the working environment. Quality Managers are responsible for collecting data from inspections to improve business performance and maximise efficiency.
Tasks and duties
- Preparing reports by gathering and summarising available data.
- Managing the line of production staff and ensuring that everybody strictly follows the deadline and set protocols.
- Performing a detailed and thorough inspection of a product's final stage.
- Eliminating products that do not meet the client’s requirements.
- Approving the right products to separate them from the defective ones.
- Soliciting feedback from clients to assess whether their goals are met.
How to become a Quality Manager
Since this is a managerial position, a formal educational background is necessary for you to excel in this career. Certification may also give you an advantage.

Complete a bachelor degree in business administration or quality control management. Here, you will learn about the different principles and practises of business and also the processes of production.

Get an entry-level position in production or manufacturing. Experience working with the assembly line processes will be valuable.
