How to become a Science Teacher
You must meet certain requirements to become a Public School Science Teacher, including finishing a relevant degree and potentially applying to the Ministry of Education (MOE).
- 1.Finish a Bachelors Degree in science or a related discipline. Degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science are typically fields for aspiring educators.
- 2.Apply to the MOE to be a teacher. If accepted, the MOE may sponsor you to attend the National Institute of Education (NIE) for a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
- 3.Complete your PGDE, which includes coursework and practicum, giving you much-needed experience.
- 4.Work in the school assigned to you by the MOE.
- 5.You can apply directly to a private institution after your degree and some work experience. However, you may need to fulfil specific requirements and qualifications.
