Ajinomoto (Singapore) Pte Ltd was established in 1973 to promote and distribute Ajinomoto products in the Singapore market through the retail and supermarket channels. In fact, our presence in Singapore dates back to 1927, when Ajinomoto’s 3rd overseas office was opened in Singapore (following New York and Shanghai). Today, we offer a variety of products including seasonings, frozen foods, processed foods, beverages, sweeteners and amino acids for the consumer market as well as the catering and food processing industries. Apart from its marketing and sales activities locally, Ajinomoto Singapore also performs vital functions to support the Group’s global operations, such as the procurement of flexible packaging materials, chemicals and raw materials, the provision of logistic solutions, and developing new businesses in the region.

    AI summary of recent reviews

Ajinomoto offers several positive aspects for employees, including favorable work-life balance with reasonable working hours compared to other companies. The workplace provides a positive environment with good teamwork among colleagues, and many employees appreciate the convenient location of the workplace.

However, employees face certain challenges, including limited career growth opportunities, particularly for local staff seeking advancement to senior positions. The company experiences frequent leadership changes with management typically appointed from headquarters, and some employees find the Japanese corporate culture creates communication challenges across different hierarchical levels.
