    A failed procurement transformation...
    The good thingsmeaningful work generally...
The challengesSuggest to hire experienced procurement staff to support operations. True transformation is not just to put in a system and policy and some half-cooked templates to tick the checkboxes. Hard for people on the ground when we get wishy washy advice and unclear directions from the Head.

Steep learning curve as there are no proper support or guidelines.
The good thingsHigh paying salary and bonuses
The challengesLong hours and school will sway towards parents as they have a final say since it’s a private institution.

    Positive working experience
The good thingsGood management and opportunities to build and advance my career. Management is willing to listen and make changes for continuous improvement. Efforts are made to ensure positive and healthy HR to retain talents. Able to contribute and make positive impact to the special needs community
The challengesHave to be prepared for constant changes and impromptu tasks. At times, there is a need to play multiple roles.

    Very meaningful and fulfilling
The good thingsThe friendly staff who were always willing to help us out and the new friends I made (fellow interns) who went through this incredible journey with me. I was given many opportunities to learn new skills and develop my character.
The challengesIt is not an easy job managing the children with autism. It takes alot of patience, dedication, mutual respect and empathy but it is a very rewarding experience.

Things don't really seems what they were.
The good thingsGood for people who wanted to work for a purpose or trying to make a change to the Autism society. Some colleagues are friendly and nice as most of the people are trying to contribute back to the society.
The challengesThe organisation uses a very top down approach. Things don't really seems the way they are from the outside only after you started working. Long working hours required no matter which department you are in. Hard to get promoted and hard to advance in career.

    Nice Customers
The good thingsThe customers that you are working for are nice and understanding.
The challengesManagement are micro-managing, and they can be very inconsiderate in the things they say when they are talking to you.

    Overworked to the bone
The good thingsInteracting with students Watching students making small personal developmental growths Dynamic environment Helpful and friendly colleagues
The challengesManagement is disconnected with actual problems on the ground. Suggestions/project initiatives by management only beneficial to management's portfolio, but of little no benefit for students, adding on unnecessary stress. No respect from management regarding work life balance, staff are extremely overworked, but not appreciated for hard and honest work that has been done, too negative.
