I experienced challenges working under a hierarchical system where bias and lack of guidance. The good thingsThe curriculum team offers consistent support throughout the year in planning and implementing lesson plans. The materials and resources provided by HQ are adequate and well-aligned with the curriculum requirements.
The challenges* Lack of manpower!
* Teachers are taking 2 to 3 classes.
* Senior principal and principal (senior teacher) are bias. (Selfish, self-chosen, self-serving rather than team-oriented.
* Regardless of an employee’s years of service, the Senior Principal tends to make judgments based on perceived status or familiarity, which can result in unfair treatment.
For example, as an educator, when I offered to assist with check-in duties, the Senior Principal deliberately remarked that such tasks should be handled by a Senior Teacher instead. This made me feel that her feedback was based on position and hierarchy rather than on willing to help.
* There seems to be limited guidance on appropriate teaching approaches for younger children. This has led to more challenging behaviours among the children, and educators have not received clear direction on how to manage such situations effectively.
