    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Business China appreciate the supportive and collegial work environment, with nice and polite colleagues and no office politics. The physical work environment is described as conducive, comfortable, and well-equipped, with amenities like a snack and beverage corner. Employees also value the flexibility in managing their own work projects and having flexible lunch hours.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as the need to be very hands-on and adaptable, reacting quickly to unforeseen circumstances and often working outside of regular office hours. As a non-profit organisation, salaries are lower than average compared to for-profit organisations. There are also limited opportunities for career advancement within the organisation. Additionally, there can be misalignment between senior management's aspirations and staff expectations, with strategies and directions being torn apart by various stakeholders.

A high demand job that only those who beleive in the mission will stay
The good thingsGood colleagues, no office politics, good snack n beverage corner to spike us up, conducive and cordial physical working environment.
The challengesNeed to be very hands on and adaptable, need to react fast to unforseen circumstances, need to work on non office hours quite often.

    Good for fresh graduates
The good thingsPhysical office environment is nice and comfortable, office building overlooking the southern waterfront of Singapore. Generally nice and polite working colleagues and bosses. Senior management is beginning to keep an open mind in listening to staff feedback.
The challengesAverage salary and little exposure for staff level. Strategy and directions get torn apart by various stakeholders (more Board members than number of staff). A small NPO by staff strength and expertise but with huge aspiration, which cause many misalignment in the expectation between senior management and staff. Not attractive enough to attract talents to drive projects.

Average pay but good working environment
The good thingsThe colleagues are one of the nicest people to work with. The employer gives one a lot of freedom to manage your own work projects and there're always room for discussion and negotiation. It's a chill working environment and the lunch hours could be quite flexible (but still depending on what team you're in.)
The challengesBecause it's a non-profit organisation, therefore the salary could be considered lower than average as compared to your peers working in the other for-profit organisation. There isn't much opportunity to advance in terms of career development.
