The good things1.Pay salary on time. 2.Good medical coverage and benefits. 3.Renovated office
The challenges1.DOS accounting system. Inefficient and out-dated system, been using since early 1990s. Printed tons of reports using the dot-matrix printer and many reports printed are not used. A lot of manual and time-consuming work as reports are only available in DOS and staff have to manually work on it intelligently, cannot export the report to Excel. 2.Complex billing, mark-up and discount structure/framework. Changes as and when the management deem fit. Many price lists, mark-up list. 3.Staff have to report directly to both the Dept head and the boss. At times acting as a in-between messenger. 4.Time-consuming meetings. Fault-findings on the staff

The good thingsgood salary and on time payment
The challenges- No clear policy guidelines on HR, operation n staff reimbursement. depends on the interpretation of other staff. - Work scope changes as and when management wants it to change and usually to not what you are hired or trained for. you will be deemed a poor performer if unable to carry out new work scope. - No quality system or documented procedures. makes them up as required. - Does not embrace technology for efficiency. a lot of manual processes with no clear guidelines causing a lot of responsibility pushing and misunderstandings. - Management does not accept feedback from staff and customers and believes they are right in terms of pricing n quality issues. - Company direction solely determined by management and is not customer oriented or geared towards company growth and staff well being or security. - Ancient and inefficient DOS accounting system that needs a lot of manual and duplicated work, causing wrong and slow results which will be blamed on staff as poor performance. - Disorganized admin processes. eg. pay slips always delayed, once even for more than 2 months late.
