Not a place for sincere and passionate teachers. Toxic management.
The good thingsFriendly teaching colleagues. Most of them are in their post retirement ages.
The challengesDreary working conditions. Micromanaging and no appreciation for a job well done. No respect for teaching staff. School wants teachers to bring their personal laptops to school. Rude and and hostile working environment.

    Bad experience in the company
The good thingsThere’s no good experience in this company.
The challengesMessy work environment and only 1 stall in the school. Think twice before joining as they can ask you to leave when working in the company for only 2 days. The reason they give is not suitable. How do they determine if a staff is suitable for the job when they only work for 2 days? A waste of time.Think twice before joining. There’s also no water dispenser in the office. Colleagues are not friendly and not willing to teach. No prospect at all.

    Best employer I ever had
The good thingsA very considerate and fair school who allowed me to have special package due to my health conditions in order to retain me to continue to teach there.
The challengesI am teaching mother tongue subject at Dimensions. Due to my health conditions, it is tough for me to reach to some classroom as I am unable to climb up the staircase. However, the school has allowed me to reduce my teaching lessons and reallocate those classes to ground floor classroom for me.

    This is a family business
The good thingsAll the good remarks are fake. The management wrote all the good remarks.
The challengesThis is a family business. The whole family are the top management so they control all their staff benefits and they don't trust their own people.

    What a god learning experience
The good thingsEverything is great, enjoyable especially the management will Take time to listen to your employees regarding their concerns and needs for performing their jobs. Discuss various issues with each employee individually, such as conflicts they may have with you or other employees. Rectify conflicts right away by coming up with viable solutions.
The challengesSo far, everything is fine

Poor management and the misalignment of the purpose of delivering education at the expense of business profit-making
The good thingsThe company values those who put in the effort to work hard for them. They remunerate hard work and performance.
The challengesThe company's vision towards education is one that is profit-making and less on student development. To ensure the school continues to operate, they have to ensure continuous influx of foreign students e.g. Vietnamese, Chinese and Indians. However, they do not have a robust assessment system to assess the capabilities of the foreign students taking the curriculum, usually from UK partner universities. When this happens, students who lack the competencies find themselves struggling with the UK curriculum, and eventually become de-motivated. Lecturers are over-worked with back-to-back teaching, resulting in the lack of attention to marking and moderation. All in all, it becomes a vicious cycle in the quality management at each stage of the process.

    Colleagues are super nice!
The good thingsColleagues are nice and willing to share and teach you. An environment that without company politics as everyone is busy and focus in their works. Team work is good and buddy system being maintained in each department. Head of Department lead as example to work on the ground with staff to resolve their operation issues and always encourage staff to improve to higher level for career advancement.
The challengesThere is a lot of paper works in education industry and many regulatory requirements to comply with. As this school is very student-centric and value driven, staff need to put in more effort to monitor each students' progress closely. Need to learn to love the students to work there.

    The best employer!
The good thingsI have a good working life in Dimensions, nice and comfortable working environment. Is a good employer since i working with a lot of employer in SG. Learnt a lot in this company and given opportunities to try on different tasks. The size of the company is big enough to allow me to have interaction with different department staff and my communication skill was improved with this opportunity. I am being rewarded with the effort and commitment i have contributed to the company. The company has shown appreciation on staff's effort and commitment.
The challengesI am tasked to learn and do new tasks which is challenging for me but my HOD has guided me well. This is first time that i work in education industry and there is a lot of regulatory requirements to follow. Thus I have to be very careful and meticulous due to the company is strict in complying with all the requirements.

Micro managed and seldom treated fairly
The good thingsColleagues created amicable atmosphere
The challengesSupervisors micromanaged the staff, forcing some rules that are not sensible. Supervisors are not receptive to suggestions. Staff are overworked but not appreciated. Staff benefits have a lot of restrictions, even medical claims are difficult.

The good thingsThe Department Head was a caring mentor. He knew how to offer solutions when there were problems faced by his subordinates. He had excellent interpersonal communication and understanding with his subordinates. Every teacher could easily relate to him. He was opened to suggestions and innovative ideas. I am sure all his subordinates adored him.
The challengesIt has always been challenging when I teach international students to pronounce words. Motivating students to put in their effort to achieve their leaning goals is another challenge. Some students are generally shy and it is not easy to make them participate in class activities. Sometimes a teacher has to take the role of a counsellor to deal with recalcitrant students.
