Nothing for International Faculty, incompitant employee appointed on imporatant post
The good thingssalary on time only thing is positive, not more than that.
The challengesThere are lots of good conversations, but only conversations, nothing positive for foreign academics, and lots of messages and group chats.. 24/7. Double and triple work for one salary. Specifically, they want international academics, but no support, no leave, and no bonus. Inexperienced, incompetent people were appointed to important positions. Multiple evaluation (4-4) times every 2 months. Too much interference at every moment (question paper setting, evaluation). Everything is expected in advance (3 months ago) without any help(No Books, No syllabus).

The good thingsMonthly salary on time received.
The challengesTop management feel excited in seeing conflicts. That family even instigated infighting by stirring up politics within and cross departmental. They are used to manage basing on their emotions.

    Exciting.
The good thingsSupportive management who are responsive to feedback. Clear direction and goals for the recruitment staff. The total on-target remuneration is above average of the industry.
The challengesWhile the KPIs are realistic and achievement it is also very challenging in light of the hostile regulatory policies which is not so supprtive of the private education industry. With the setting up od the SIT in the polytechnics it leaves little room for the PEIs.

Strong Leadership and Management and Mentorship
The good thingsI like the very strong leadership with clear direction and goals for every departments. This leadership and management support transcended all levels. Also, like the very objective a clear KPIs that are laid out at the beginning of the year and my manager will have an open appraisal. Is able to sit down to discuss my career and work together with my manager how I can be developed in what I aspired in my career with the company.
    The challengesNothing much to complain.

    Good working environment
The good thingsThis is workplace with great colleagues and supportive management. I have a fantastic working life here; nice and conducive working environment. Learnt a lot in this workplace and there are ample opportunities to try on different tasks. The size of the school is big enough to allow me to have interaction with different department staff. I am being rewarded with the effort and commitment that I contributed to the school. The school’s management has shown appreciation on staff's effort and commitment.
The challengesI am tasked to learn and do new tasks which is challenging for me but my immediate supervisor has guided me well. As this is an education industry and is subjected to strict compliance with the relevant regulatory bodies.

The challengesThe food around walking vicinity is a little limited but all good as we can travel out for lunches.

A place that test your limit positively.
The good thingsManagement are constantly looking at employees' area of strength. This allows me o focus on areas I like and where I excel. This allows me to develop deep knowledge and expertise especially where I can develop courseware and study guides in IT subjects.
The challengesFrankly, I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 years with the Institute. I am most impressed by the highly innovative and tech savvy team in the Easb. They not only install smart classroom and LMS technology but also implemented the New Blended teaching pedagogy. As a lecturer I have benefitted greatly by teaching and delivery using the NBL.

The challengesGenerally a very good company to work in and with good opportunities for career development and progression. More ideal if 5-day work week.

Review of experience working at EASB
The good thingsThe people there are nice to work with and there is a lot of teamwork between lower staff. There are a lot of potential for growth. Processed driven whereby it makes it easy to learn and enables employees to be empowered to make decisions.
The challengesThere is a gap between the upper management and the staff in terms of understanding and communication. Changes keep taking place causing extra stress. Management have very high expectations but the rewards/benefits do not match. HR does not seem to be for the people(employee).
